Privacy Policy

Effective September 8, 2026.

This policy covers the Realmroot website at realmroot.dev and the official hosted identity, authorization, and capability-discovery service at id.realmroot.dev. It does not cover third-party self-hosted deployments, whose operators determine their own data practices. Other products and external services may have separate privacy policies.

The Terms of Service describe use of the website and official hosted service. The open-source software is separately licensed under Apache-2.0.

We process account and profile information you provide, authentication and security data needed to protect your account, Agent identities and controller relationships, authorization requests and decisions, and technical service records such as request identifiers, timestamps, operation names, status codes, and security events.

When you connect an external provider, Realmroot processes the provider account identifier, granted scopes, and OAuth credentials required to maintain that connection. Stored provider credentials are encrypted at rest. Authorized Agents can receive access credentials limited by the approved authorization; this is distinct from credentials used to maintain a provider connection. Connected external services may process credentials and requests under their own policies.

Website requests pass through Cloudflare infrastructure, which processes network and request information to deliver and protect the site. The hosted identity service uses cookies to maintain sign-in sessions and support authentication. Blocking these cookies can prevent sign-in or session features from working.

We use this information to operate and secure the service, authenticate users and Agents, enforce grants and revocations, exchange short-lived credentials, investigate failures and abuse, and improve reliability. We do not sell personal information or use provider credentials for advertising.

Information is shared only with service providers needed to operate Realmroot, with external providers you explicitly connect, when required by law, or when necessary to protect users and the service. Cloudflare provides hosting, networking, storage, and security infrastructure for the hosted service.

When you sign in to a connected application, it receives identity information such as an account identifier and, where authorized, profile information according to the requested and approved access. Authorized Agents and resource services receive the identity, authorization information, and request data needed for the operations you authorize. The receiving application’s or provider’s privacy policy governs its subsequent handling of that information.

We retain information only while it is needed to provide the service, satisfy security and audit requirements, or comply with law. You can revoke Agent grants and sessions and disconnect external provider connections from the account controls. Revocation prevents further access through the revoked authorization; it does not undo completed operations or delete data already held by connected applications or providers.

Account deletion removes or clears account profile and authentication records and revokes associated access. Some identifiers and reduced authorization or audit records remain to preserve security and record integrity. External revocation and stored-file cleanup can finish after local account deletion. Deleting a Realmroot account does not delete your accounts or data at external providers.

We use encryption, short-lived credentials, proof-of-possession tokens, access controls, and audit records to protect service data. No system can guarantee absolute security. Material changes to this policy will be published on this page with a new effective date.

For general questions, use the Realmroot repository. GitHub issues are public: do not post personal information, credentials, or account-deletion evidence there.
